The almost laughing hyena

After the zigging and zigging or the last two plotted routes… A calmer, flatter rattle round is planned. Weather permitting it goes something like this: Coupar, Alyth, shanzie, Kirriemuir, the 8 miler Meigle Kettins and home. Start time 8:30am… Did I say weather permitting?

Yet another week flies by…..this time my wee daughter leaves for Japan on Monday, so I had better spend some time with her. Oh yes, also my wheel is still in France !!

Excuses Excuses 🙂 Have fun with your “wee daughter” and hopefully catch up with you soon. If the wheels are away longer can ER persuade Mavic to loan you a pair or replace with next model up.

Well, the hyenas were laughing at us puddling along to Kirrie with a headwind and rain. just as we got to Kirrie, my despicable crown was unceremoniously ripped from me! I know how it feels to be robbed of the first 30 of the day (if you don’t count the one on CWTFSA). He came from behind, where he had been sheltering for a large proportion of the new off highlighter section. Anyway, the discussion was around just how scunnered the weather was making us. And the resulting decision not to stop for coffee.
What a difference 8 miles of tailwind makes. We stopped at the joinery. The rest of the run was just cold. And the despicable bar steward did it again at Ardler. I pulled to the side to let a car past, to discover Dave slipstreaming it through the 30’s. I burst the Kettins ones.
Home now, dried out and fed… Happy days 38 miles as predicted.

Wet wet effing Drookit! Plenty of spray and muck on the road. The coffee stop was in doubt until the tail wind of the 8 mile road revived and slightly dried us. Thankfully the fire was on and gloves could try and be dried. There was nothing despicable today but it was nice to claim my maiden Campmuir 30. Makes a change somebody else being called despicable for a change. Must have learned from the Master, Gru!!
