Plan C – The Weather

Plans are flexible or at least they were this weekend.

John and Allan braved the elements and a Wishaw band (Wet Wet Wet) & Snow over Aumlree and Aberfeldy. Well done perfect Etape training conditions!

Andrew ventured into Perth and the plan was to head either to Aumlree or Milnathort. His arrival coincided with the heaviest rain and the rivers running down the street. Mmmm cuppa time watch a spot of F1 and see if the weather improves. It did so we headed out with general direction of Dunning as first way point. Half way down Oakbank Road pull the back brakes on and very little happens! Eeeek! Back home to dryness of garage for brake adjust and head out again but by now for only a tour of the slopes of Viewlands and Oakbank. Andrew sets of to attack Viewlands road and then discovers that once you pass the end of Viewlands Terrace the road has a nasty wee kick upwards which slowed his progress. Cornhill Road was as pleasant as ever and Viewlands not much better on the return visit heading home. Andrew discovered the joys of what it is like to live up a hill at the end of a cycle 🙂 I think Andrew said something about every mile counting I just hope so. For anyone remotely interested the results can be found on Strava.
