McDonalds, McDonalds, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and a Pizza Hut

I am having my breakfast, when I notice outside the ground is white! I continue to get ready, adding layers and insulation, like I am going to be a polar explorer. I step outside to find my fellow explorers discussing the sanity of this adventure. AM arrives, telling us the main road is wet but not too icy. Until now we have not decided where this gentle Sunday run would take us. More pressing than the where to is the when. Do we go now or do we wait an hour. We set off in the direction of Forfar.
We are passing through Meigle, when its decided we stop at McDonalds for tea rather than Meigle. The route has gone from aimless to purposeful. We cruise on taking in all the undulations that the A94 can deliver to us. We arrive at McDonalds, tea (I hate paper cups) and coffee all round, we warm our super chilled bodies while gazing out the window at AM’s Triumph.
The run home was as uneventful as the outbound, wet and icy roads. And where did that wind around Coupar Angus come from… just not what you want.

Run stats 36.6666 miles, average 15.1.

One Response to McDonalds, McDonalds, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and a Pizza Hut

  1. David says:

Chilly morning the one or the other jackets became both at the same time. Can’t remember the last time I was in a McD’s it warmed us anyway. The pedal back was not great. No ability to go fast even downhill not thar there were many of these. The legs had their lights on but nobody was at home to drive me. Thanks John for hanging back. Oh well maybe next time
