I scream, you scream, we all scream for ICECREAM!

Yes its the annual pilgrimage to Broughty Ferry for Icecream (or coffee and scones).

The route Ballo (now there is a surprise, but we have to cross the Sidlaws somewhere).
then down that wee steep hill towards the Littleton road. But, go right at the bottom and take the Knapp road (no not take a nap), and go under the dual carriage way at Longforgan … then whizz along to the Ferry.

Sadly this is where I leave you to toil back to the start point, I will be taking the flat route to Carnoustie for lunch and a wee sponsored walk.

If the weather report for Sunday stays as it is and doesn’t improve dramatically them I’m no playing!

  2. Andrew says:

Look here… if you can cycle in the p1sh weather on a Saturday and pay for the priviledge … then surely you and do a free run on a Sunday … in the p1sh weather.

I am not out playing this Sunday (1st July) due to being at Colins 40th on the Saturday and then going for lunch in Embra on the Sunday … might have to sqeeze in a couple of runs to and from work this week! – So what I am really saying is …Find Yer Own Route!

  5. I will be out on Sunday with a hangover from Colin’s 40th so not fussed about a route, we can just decide on the day if there are no suggestions!!!!

  6. Alan says:

8am Sunday Ist July I will be there without hangover!

  7. spokeclinic says:

Alan, is that really you or is it Ashley?

  8. Okay my thoughts for a Sunday run are dependant on Alan working which I think you are so Burrelton, campmuir, Ballo, Littleton, lundie, Dundee, invergowrie, errol, glencarse, washer house brae, Perth, coffee at canto and home via Balbeggie and Collace, not a clue how long but has a few tough climbs, also if running short of time for Alan we can cut it short!!!!

  9. Well my 8.00am cycle turned into a 10.00am cycle thanks to a stinking hangover and only getting to bed at 5am, sorry Alan!!!! Well I changed the route as I didn’t have the time to do the suggested one. So over Ballo not nice then on to the knapp road, very strange as there is no uphills at all, mmmmmm back to Abernyte then along to Pitrodie and over the hill, still think this is the steepest hill around, was lifting the front wheel with every pedal stroke and then home 34 miles or so but well worth it on a lovely morning!!!!!
