Sunday 16th, Perth Start

With Alan away for some Port and Andrew and his new Barbie bike away to the outlaws I’m proposing a Perth based run this week.

Initial route suggestion is to head to Bridge of Earn and along to Dunning, Auchterarder, Kinkell Bridge, Gloagburn and home. About 37 miles.

  2. Bill says:

  3. David says:

Bill, if you cycling in do you want to meet at 08.30 South Inch Car Park. Or is 08.00 okay ?

I had a nice 32 mile run to Mullben from Buckie over Enzie Braes then on to Keith and then up the Cullen road and back to Buckie via DryBridge… not flat … unlike Johns tyres… avg speed was better than on the banana bike….

  5. Bill says:

Was a gid day for it, was working but sneaked out for a few hill climbs, really windy up Ballo but was a nice 48.1mph coming down, found a crack in my wheel rim so thats not good might have to get a new set of fulcrum racing wheels a bargin at £2050 a pair!!!! F**k me that’s more than my bike!!!!

    • David says:

Can you not tell domestic management that wheels and bikes come only as complete sets together and that you now need to get a new bike as well !

  6. David says:

38 miles 1 puncture 1 broken valve and a trip to Gloagburn very enjoyable. Oh and we got stopped by the Police too!

  7. Andrew says:

I have a spare set of hoops… lol

  8. Bill says:

Nae problem just been in to bike shop wheel is gubbed so new set will set me back £250 hay ho and new tyres as well as the pothole i hit did for the tyre to nice!!!!!

  9. Andrew says:

You having a set built to your specification

  10. Bill says:

Would love to but they have a nice set in the shop that are a sealed unit and they say run really well so maybe a wee 50mph is on the cards!!!!!

    • David says:

My bike came with sealed cartridge bearing hubs as standard. 🙂 You getting Miche hoops?

      • Bill says:

Yep, my bike came with shit ones so a wee upgrade to Miche hoops and another new tyre!!!! Have been through about 4 tyres this year and they are about £20 a tyre, now have Michelin tyre on the back, set me back about 40 quid, nearly died could have a holiday for that!!!!
